How Chateau Recovery Works

Every person has a blend of traits and ideals that make them unique. With all that individuality, it makes sense that treatment approaches for addiction abuse or mental health disorders should be personalized. When you arrive at Chateau Recovery, our initial assessments look at various aspects of your life including substance use, developmental challenges, personality styles, possible traumas, family history, your personal values, and goals for after treatment. We get to know your strengths and needs in a way that helps us design a treatment plan that best fits you.

Our Treatment Services

We have designed a system that helps you slow down and identify issues and solutions in 6 different dimensions of your life. These Whole Self dimensions consist of: Emotional and Mental Health, Physical Wellness, Family System Wellness, Spiritual Wellness, Relationship Wellness, and Daily Functioning. We’ve created various tools to help target weak spots and a program to help you strengthen those areas.

Art Therapy

Creating and expressing one’s self through art has shown to improve physical, mental, and emotional well-being while also helping reduce stress, improve self-esteem, and raise emotional awareness. Our Team can help you understand the messages communicated through your art so you can more deeply understand the root of issues and start to heal.

Case Management

Successful recovery and self-improvement often requires slowing down and getting organized.  You will be assigned a peer and staff mentor to guide you through our curriculum and the therapeutic process. Our personal and professional team will help you identify areas of concern and help connect you to skills, tools, and resources as you prepare for life outside of the Chateau.

Family Support

The family system’s ability to adapt and evolve is critical for sustained success for each member of a family. Lack of change, unhealthy communication, poor boundaries, and other factors often lead to relapse and unhappiness. We encourage all families in this process to find support in individual therapy, group support, and learn how to be as healthy as possible.

To support that process, we invite all clients to engage in family therapy sessions and allow their family members to participate in our Chateau Family Support Program. This program has its own weekly curriculum including video, book and resource recommendations, and is a great opportunity for family members to learn the tools and ideas their loved one is practicing in the program. Our Family Advocate reaches out weekly to check in and support families as they navigate this information and process. All families are encouraged to attend Family Day. These monthly virtual activities allow family members to learn more about the disease model of addiction and the Chateau philosophy and methodology.

Psychoeducation

Self-Improvement requires learning about all aspects of your “Self”. We provide classes and discussions about the mind, the disease model of addiction, communication, healthy relationships, changing your mindset, motivation, acceptance, and more comprehensive ideas around self-care. These new ideas and tools can help you and our family construct a healthy and effective lifestyle that can weather challenges.

Relapse Prevention

At Chateau Recovery, our ultimate goal is to help you overcome your addiction, avoid relapse and build a fulfilling life. We work to find the root cause of your issues and give you tools, resources and coping mechanisms to help you avoid your addiction after your residential treatment is completed.

Group Therapy

Group therapy helps individuals feel supported and understood by others going through similar things. Our therapists work with groups within the facility to ensure that everyone has time to speak and feel heard. The support and connection that happens with peers and professionals in a safe environment is valuable in your healing process. Sometimes we need groups of open, respectful, and like-minded people to realize that we are not different or alone.

Medication Therapy Management

If your addiction or mental health disorder requires medication for your recovery, Chateau Recovery has a licensed nurse on staff to ensure that medications are administered correctly.

Meditation and Mindfulness

Meditation helps individuals refocus their minds and become more aware of and attuned to their thoughts, feelings, body, and environment. Learning to accept ourselves as we are, right in that particular moment, helps to change neurological processes while allowing grace and understanding as we grow through the recovery process.

Monitoring

While living at Chateau Recovery, and through after-care treatment, we routinely monitor clients in the addiction or dual diagnosis program to help prevent relapse. We perform drug and alcohol tests twice a week, more if needed.

Nutrition Counseling

As part of healing the whole self, we offer nutrition counseling to ensure that each individual is addressing their nutritional and dietary needs. This is vital for recovery as we need to take care of ourselves to live a healthy, sober life.

Clinical Evaluation

When you first come to Chateau Recovery, you will participate in an initial assessment with one of our therapists. We do this to establish a diagnosis and create a personalized treatment plan that fits your needs.
